#5: CIRCUIT x BODY

The basic electric circuit with a contact point for activation was the basis of this series of explorations. In particular, the initial provocation involved testing out various contact points on a performer's body such that they needed to constantly shift their point of contact: maintaining a closed circuit thus required an openness to presence and negotiation.

CIRCUIT x BODY: "Activation"

In this exploration, kinetic sculptor Si Xuan sought to explore the fundamental elements of an electric circuit, considering how they may be closed by the activation of bodies interacting with one another in order to sustain the output generated. In this light, the team members reflected on how the necessity of physical contact implied the need for interdependence between inhabitants in the city, and also the constant motion reflected a need for continuous calibration with one another.
